Our Story

Tamraght is changing. A new generation is bringing fresh energy to the village through surf, art, food and creativity, while the character and culture that make this place special remain firmly intact.

The Cove was created to be part of that evolution.

We wanted to build the kind of place we would want to stay ourselves — somewhere that feels considered without feeling overly polished, social without being a party hostel, and comfortable without losing the character of the place around it.

At the heart of The Cove is a simple idea: good days are better when you have the right things to fill them with.

Surf in the morning. Take a surf skate session when the ocean is quiet. Slow things down with yoga. Come together around the table for dinner. Leave room for a coffee, a conversation, a sunset, or absolutely nothing at all.

Our stays are built around these things — surf, movement, food and connection — with the flexibility to make the experience your own.

A Home In Tamraght, Not Just A Place In It

The Cove sits in the heart of the village, surrounded by the everyday rhythm of Tamraght. This isn’t a resort removed from its surroundings. It’s a surf house woven into the village itself.

Our space brings together desert minimalism and Moroccan character, creating somewhere that feels relaxed, warm and easy to settle into.

We want people to arrive as guests and leave feeling like they got a little closer to the place — and to the people who call it home.

Why We Built It

The Cove started with a belief that you don’t need luxury or backpacker clichés to have a great stay.

You need good waves. A comfortable place to come back to. Something good to eat. People to share it with. And enough space to slow down and enjoy where you are.

That’s what we’re building here.

As The Cove grows, we want to stay connected to the village that gave it its character — working with local people, supporting the community, contributing to Tamraght’s creative energy, and continuing to make the experience better without losing what made it special in the first place.

What started as a small idea has grown into a home for people passing through Tamraght from all over the world.
